Energy Medicine and Detection of Geopathic factors

August 13, 2026

I learned about Geopathic Stress (GS) after moving to Stowe, Vermont in June
2001. Although accustomed to staying up to midnight without any problem, my
husband and I could barely keep our eyes open after 9pm. Our house was at a
high altitude and we thought maybe it was just the fresh country air. At about this
time, I saw a poster promoting a talk at Johnson State College about sacred space.
While previously living in France, I learned that the great cathedrals are actually
situated on areas of strong earth energies and wanted to learn more so I attended
the talk. The presenter, Dr. Patrick MacManaway, a third generation healer from
Scotland, Master Dowser, former President of the British Society of Dowsers, is
one of the world’s experts on the subject of Geobiology.

Dr. MacManaway described how the landscape is flowing with different energies,
some beneficial to humans and others harmful. Excess yang energy or excess yin
energy can be harmful in large doses. He mentioned that underground flowing
water, geological fault lines, underground caverns and some mineral deposits (esp
coal, oil and iron) give off weak electromagnetic fields that are harmful to
humans by suppressing or interfering with the immune system. Long term
exposure (usually by sleeping over these geological formations) to these naturally
occurring electromagnetic fields generated by features deep within the earth is
called Geopathic Stress (GS). Some of the early symptoms of GS are lethargy,
waking up feeling tired even though you had a full nights sleep, or nightmares

and poor sleeping patterns. Newborns tend to cry a lot if their crib is situated over
stressed zone and in older children it may contribute to bedwetting.

I was shocked to learn that in Europe research had been done in the 1970s and
earlier indicating that as many as 90% of cancer patients who died had been
subject to naturally occurring Geopathic Stress. This was alarming and I
wondered if that were true, why weren’t the public health authorities in this
country doing something about it? Well the reason no one was paying attention
to this information in the past is that underground veins of water were only
detectable by dowsing and no government official wants to look like a fool, so
the public remains largely uneducated and sadly uninformed about GS.

Dr. MacManaway came to check out our house and bedroom. Sure enough our
bed was situated over a water vein. Dr. MacManaway neutralized the water vein
energy by driving 1 foot long steel rebar into the ground above the water vein on
both ends just as it enters and exits the house.

After a week my husband and I were already feeling back to normal. I signed up
for Dr. MacManaway’s basic dowsing course and discovered I was a natural at
dowsing. I’ve been an environmental activist since the age of 12 and always felt
connected to Nature. I was very excited to have proof that we are connected
energetically to everything. I apprenticed with Dr. MacManaway for about a year,
increasing my knowledge of detecting different noxious energies and how to
neutralize them so that clients would experience improved health. Dowsing is
alive and well in Vermont due to the fact that farmers need to be able to locate

wells for their crops and livestock are also affected by Geopathic Stress.
Dowsing is also used to locate underground pipes, telephone and electrical cables.

My real motivation for perfecting this new skill was anger that innocent people
were ill and dying from something that could be easily and inexpensively
resolved. People should not die due to scientific hubris.

Geopathic Stress can manifest in the body in many different ways. In Traditional
Chinese Medicine earth energy disorders were observed to primarily affect the
Central Nervous System. 1 Everything vibrates and these vibrations create waves
and fields. It is theorized that weak magnetic fields of specific frequencies are
generated by different types of geological formations. It has been observed that
Extra Low Frequencies (ELF) create weak magnetic fields which can create a
multitude of changes in organisms, for example 1) alter behavior of cells, tissues,
organs and whole organisms 2) alter hormone levels in living organisms 3) alter
reaction time of chemical processes in living cells 4) make animals go to sleep
5) destroy cells by rupturing them and 6) cause fetus mortality and birth defects in

lab animals up to 6 times higher than average. 2

An Austrian teacher, Kathe Bachler, documented more than 11,000 cases of
GS in her career. When she first learned about earth energies she wondered if
some of the underachieving students in her school might be affected by these
energies. Her school district gave her some funds to visit the children’s homes
and search for Geopathic Stress with her dowsing skills. Astonishingly, her
research indicates that GS was present in 95% of children failing at school. After
moving the child’s bed away from the noxious zone the child’s health and mental
capacities improved. 3 She then recorded her findings, case by case, in a book

which was originally published in 1976 with the German title The Startling
Discoveries of a Dowser. This book was translated into English in 1989 with the
title Earth Radiation.

Kathe Bachler’s research motivates me to educate as many people as
possible about GS, especially the medical community. Now that we have the
technology to detect GS, we can practice prevention, give people a better quality
of life, reduce unnecessary invasive procedures and reduce healthcare costs.

Different terms have been used over the years to describe GS, the most common
are earth rays, terrestial rays, earth radiation, telluric currents, telluric energy or
emissions, geopathogenic stress, and water vein radiation. 4

The discipline of documenting and studying earth energies is known as feng shui
in the East and geomancy or Geobiology in Europe. In the US it is part of Dowsing. Knowledge and awareness of earth
energies is ancient. Most mammals naturally avoid areas of geopathic stress, cats
being the exception. The Chinese named degenerative earth energies “Sha” and
healthy regenerative energies as “Sheng.” 5 Geological features were classified
according to emanations of yin or yang energies. Tibetan monasteries and ancient
Roman communities were built with knowledge of local healthful zones. 6 As a
result of the Industrial Revolution and becoming estranged from our natural
surroundings, knowledge of how earth energies impact our physical and mental
health nearly vanished.

Dowsing is alive and well in rural areas as it is a method to
locate water necessary for farming and to find suitable sites for barns. The oft
quoted definition of dowsing which appears on the American Society of Dowsers
website comes from Raymond C. Willey’s book “Modern Dowsing” and is as
follows: “Dowsing is the exercise of a human faculty, which allows one to
obtain information in a manner beyond the scope and power of the standard
human physical senses of sight, sound, touch, etc." 7

Dowsing involves asking a question with a Yes or No response. The most
common dowsing tools include forked branch or stick, a pendulum on a string, or
L-shaped metal rods. Very experienced dowsers also rely on a felt sense in their
bodies for a Yes or No reaction. Dowsing can be used to search for anything but
for the scope of this paper we have limited the topic to detecting earth energies
that are harmful to humans.

The first modern documentation of harmful earth energies in Western journals
occurred in 1897 when an Italian dowser located a water vein under a dairy
producing a large quantity of defective cheese. 8 In Germany in 1929 real
credence of Geopathic Stress specifically contributing to cancer cases in humans
was documented by Baron von Pohl, an experienced dowser. With the approval
of the Mayor of Vilsbiburg (Bavaria) von Pohl measured and documented sources
of earth radiation underneath the entire city and then mapped known cases of
cancer from the past 10 years and discovered a strong correlation. Interest grew
amongst medical authorities and other German towns were mapped and came up
with similar results. 9 An English translation of the 1930 report documenting
Baron VonPohl’s results appears in the Spring 2005 issue of the American

Dowser.
The British Society of Dowsers was established in 1933 and the American
Society of Dowsers in 1961 to encourage education of the public and scientific
study of earth energies. As sophistication of scientific instrumentation increases,
the reality of earth energies is gaining acceptance amongst mainstream scientists.
In 1955 Dr. Joseph Wust used Geiger counters to measure gamma radiation under
known ‘cancer beds’ in the town of Pleutersbach, Germany. 10 After 15 years of
research a German engineer, Jacob Stangle, revealed a machine which he called a
Scintillation Counter able to detect radiation above underground water veins
confirming Baron vonPohl’s findings of 1929. Below is a readout from Stangle’s
machine over a water vein indicating increased radiation. 11

Underground flowing water produces ionizing radiation which creates ion walls
vertically through the crust and into the atmosphere. Ionizing radiation produces
free radicals. Free radical production is a danger to biological systems. Free
radicals easily damage DNA, and ionizing radiation may also directly damage
DNA by ionizing or breaking DNA molecules. 13

Dr. Wayne London of Brattleboro, VT believes some types of seismic activity
and the presence of felsic (continental crust) minerals might be environmental
influences that affect the development of Alzheimer’s disease. From his abstract
we read, “State-by state death rates due to Alzheimer’s disease (AD) in the US
show regional patterns that are not readily explainable by social, cultural or racial
factors but appear to correlate with geologic features.

The relevant geological factors that correlate with high death rates due to AD are
(1) zones of seismic activity either from intraplate dynamics or active plate

margins; higher death rates appear to correlate with subduction as opposed to
strike-slip plate margins. (2) geographic zones with abundant felsic rocks
containing minerals such as quartz and feldspar, some of which have conductive
and piezoelectric properties. The range in the state-by-state and the regional

death rates is more than 3-fold, which is higher than most known risk factors for
AD.” 14
In addition to underground geological features creating zones of excess yin or
yang energy, a global matrix of various energy grids has been identified which
also creates “hot spots” of yin or yang energy where grid lines intersect. These
various grids have different names and there is still much controversy amongst
experienced dowsers about the precise location and orientation but Kathe
Bachler’s research indicates that they play a factor in human wellbeing and so a
brief introduction is included here.

The notion of a global energy net or matrix was first put forward by French
physician Dr. Francois Peyre in 1937. Through dowsing Dr. Peyre measured
squares 4 x 4 meters oriented to magnetic north in NE-SW and SE-NW direction.
A German dowser, Siegfried Wittman, trying to confirm Peyre’s findings
concluded that a single mesh of the grid was 16 meters to a side. A German
doctor, Manfred Curry, worked with Wittman and detected harmful energy ‘hot
spots’ at points of intersection of the NE-SW and SE-NW grid lines.15

Another German doctor, Ernst Hartmann, was most meticulous about measuring
and documenting the idea of a universal energy grid but his research indicated

lines every 2 meters on a N-S axis and every 2.5 meters on an E-W axis. Dr.
Hartmann founded the first Society for Geobiological Research to educate the

public about the health hazards of water vein radiation and grid ‘hot spots’.
Much of this research was interrupted during WWII. In recent decades, Dr. Zaboj
Harvalik, of Virginia, USA, has dowsed the universal grid at many spots around
the world providing the necessary data to develop a mathematically coherent
formula for locating the grid at any location. A synthesis of Dr. Harvalik’s data
can be found in the Appendix of Christopher Bird’s The Divining Hand.
Our Bio-Electric Body
Many Eastern systems of medicine such as Ayurvedic in India and Traditional
Chinese Medicine recognize the existence of a non-physical body which supplies
necessary information and energy to the physical body for its vitality and
wellbeing. This non-physical body has been given many names over the
centuries, some of the more common terms are biofield, subtle energy body,
radiation body, aura, bioplasmic body, bio-electric body, light body and
bioenergetic body.
Dr. James Oschman in his book Energy Medicine describes our body as a ‘living

tensegrity system with a continuous semiconductor vibratory network.” 16
Another modern scientist, Mae-Wan Ho, in her acclaimed book The Rainbow and
the Worm: The Physics of Organisms describes life as a ‘collective response to
weak signals.’ 17

Dowsers have observed that an individual’s biofield expands or contracts
depending on many factors in the environment. Some of these factors are cosmic
energy, such as solar flares and lunar cycles; man made electromagnetic fields

from televisions, cell phone towers, etc.; other people’s biofields, our own
thoughts, and food that we eat. Some people are more sensitive to changes in the
environment, others have denser biofields. In the case studies we will be looking
at from K. Bachler’s book, the only change in environment that occurred was
moving the bed (or sometimes desk and chair) away from a zone of Geopathic
Stress.

Case studies from Kathe Bachler’s book Earth Radiation
Kathe Bachler undertook this research out of concern for the welfare of her
students, not only on school property but also at home. She developed a list of 10
questions (see Appendix 1) which she would ask her students in order to
determine if the child’s bed was situated in an irritation zone.

If a person has several years exposure to GS, it is possible the person may
experience something like withdrawal symptoms after moving away from the
source of stress. In this case it is advisable to wean the person slowly, by moving
the bed only slightly off the irritation zone every week. It is also possible that if
the exposure has been too long, it may be too late for the body to recover.
Mrs. Bachler includes in her book a letter from the leading German geobiologist,
Dr. Werner Kaufmann, explaining that an elevated ion charge in the air causes
fatigue and lack of concentration. He explains further, “…every subterranean
water current, even if it is only of molecular scale (1 metre in 24 hours) can be
measured and has a biological effect. The Austrian Institute for Building
Research reports in the book ‘Dampness of Buildings’ that movements of water
within the earth produce friction which in turn produces electricity. This
electricity goes up with the walls and pulls water molecules along. We get the

phenomenon of ‘building dampness’ which can be measured as an electric force
of approximately one volt. Above water currents in the earth we see the presence
of ionic walls, in some cases as high as several thousand metres according to Dr.
Buerklin, Director of the electrical power station in Bamberg, Germany (this
information was given to me personally).
All these circumstances influence the ion levels of the living space and thus are
biologically important. They produce through nuclear magnetic resonance
(acting on the protons in the water), changes in the pH of the lymphatic fluid of
the body.

In ‘Newest Results on Terrestial Rays Outside and in the Home,’ a chart
published by the Ministry of the Interior in 1977, we learn for the first time how
much the intensity of the rays increases in our homes because of the ‘inhibiting
capacity’ of the building material.
According to the Swedish Academy of Science, there exists a several hundredfold
difference between a wooden house and one built from concrete, as far as the

ionization of the air retained in the rooms.” 18

The different types of disorders Kathe Bachler came across during her study are
too long to list here. The physical disorder depends on what part of the body is
receiving the majority of the ionizing radiation, and of course an illness may have
several contributing factors. The following case studies were chosen at random
from the book Earth Radiation to illustrate the variety of mental and physical ills
that can materialize from long term exposure to Geopathic Stress.
There are many factors that could have been improved in Mrs. Bachler’s research.
Although she received 700 letters from people stating that they felt better after

moving their beds, in many cases we do not have feedback after the dowsing
intervention. Many times illnesses have several contributing factors and we do
not know details about the diets and other habits of the people in this study.

These case studies are reprinted with the kind permission of John Living of the
Holistic Intuition Society www.in2it.ca

Mrs. Bachler refers to as Curry lines (after Dr. Manfred Curry)

In 1934 a scientist by the name of Royal Rife discovered that certain pathogens
could be destroyed by a variable frequency flashing light ultrasound source. 19 At
first lauded for his research, Dr. Rife would eventually have his lab destroyed and
was ostracized by the American Medical Assn. His research eventually wound up
in England, Germany and Russia which are now leading the world in innovative
energy medicine technologies.

The history and breakthroughs of energy medicine are well documented in James
Oschman’s book Energy Medicine. In it he describes the work of Albert Szent-
Gyorgyi who viewed the body as a semiconductor. Oschman quotes from Szent-
Gyorgyi “Molecules do not have to touch one another to interact. Energy can
flow through…the electromagnetic field…The electromagnetic field, along with
water, forms the matrix of life. Water…can form structures that transmit energy.”

Oschman continues “The importance of water cannot be overestimated…While
electrons flow through the fibers (electricity), protons flow through the water
layer. This is called ‘proticity’ (Mitchell 1976).

Another researcher, Herbert Frohlich, predicted that the living matrix must
produce coherent oscillations or vibrations based on the science of quantum
physics. “…we know that all parts of the living matrix set up vibrations that move
about within the organism, and that are radiated into the environment. These
vibrations or oscillations occur at many different frequencies…These are not
subtle phenomena; they are large, even gigantic in scale. Moreover, their effects
are not trivial, because living matter is highly organized and exceedingly sensitive
to the information conveyed by coherent signals. Coherent vibrations recognize
no boundaries, at the surface of a molecule, cell or organism – they are collective
or cooperative properties of the entire being. As such they are likely to serve as
signals that integrate processes, such as growth, injury repair, defense and the

functioning of the organism as a whole. Each molecule, cell tissue and organ has
an ideal resonant frequency that coordinates its activities. By manipulating and
balancing the vibratory circuits, therapists are able to directly influence the
body’s systemic defense and repair mechanisms.” 20

In 2006 I was introduced to the i-health electronic acupuncture system created by
Henk Van der Eng, a Dutch acupuncturist, and Mauk den Boer based on research
done by the Russian Aerospace program to keep their astronauts healthy during
long term space missions. The Russians successfully used radio frequencies and
pulsating light on acupuncture points to keep the bio-energetic body balanced.
The i-health system has been available in Europe since 1997 and has gained a

reputation for integrity during those 14 years. More information about the i-
health system is available in Appendix 3.
The i-health system contains roughly 250 patented frequencies, called raymedies,
which can be applied as pulsating LED light or radio waves. In order to determine
which raymedy would be most beneficial to the individual, a Contact
Thermography scan is used. Four sensors are attached to the feet and two sensors
to the wrists. The sensors measure minute change in body temperature. When the
human body is repairing, body temperature goes up. As frequencies are sent to
the individual during the scan, body temperature is monitored by the 6 sensors. At
the end of the scan a graph is generated indicating which frequencies created the
largest increases in body temperature. These are the frequencies to apply as
therapy. 21

When a client is suffering from Geopathic Stress, the raymedy Geosanotron will

be indicated on the scan. The first priority is to determine where the person is
picking up the geopathic stress, is it at work or at home? Only an experienced
dowser can accurately determine the source of the GS.

Reading an I-health Thermography scan (see Appendix 2)
Each scan takes about 10 minutes, roughly 25 frequencies are sent one at a time
for 15 seconds with a 5 second break between each frequency during this
duration. The frequencies are sent to the client by means of a radio wave beamer
attached to the bottom of the foot and a light beamer attached to the navel. The 6
Thermography microsensors are measuring body temperature as each frequency
is being processed by the body and each frequency receives a score which is
presented as the vertical axis in a graph at the end of the scan. Frequencies with
the highest score are of the most benefit to the client and will help support the

balance and repair of the body’s biofield which consequently will lead to repair
and detoxifying of the physical body.

Case 1, SW, female 63 yrs old
This woman is retired and has a part time job which she carries out on a computer
in her home. Her Thermography scan of June 9, 2008 indicated strong GS. I went
to her property and dowsed the location of several water veins. I then neutralized
the energy of the water veins by the traditional method of driving in 1 foot long
steel rebar rods into the ground above the water vein where the water vein enters

the perimeter of the house and exits the house (not everyone is able to move the
bed). Radiation from the water veins is beneficial to some species of insects such
as ants and honeybees, and certain plant species so we only neutralize that part of
the water vein situated underneath human dwellings.
The I-health scans of before and after the dowsing intervention are included in
Appendix 2
This intervention occurred in 2008 and the client indicated that she felt she had
more energy after the intervention. Incidentally, this woman reported that her
brand new appliances were frequently not working in her new home. Since the
dowsing intervention, appliances are working fine.

Case Study 2, CS
This woman came in for a scan due to health problems on April 22, 2011. She is a
live-in aid to an elderly person and has been living at the person’s home for 3
years. GS came up strongly on her Thermography scan and I went to her

residence and neutralized the water veins on April 29, 2011. A follow up scan
indicated that GS had been reduced.
Case study 3, female, age 74
I am including this scan although I did not make a follow up scan due to time
constraints. I am including the positive comments from the client after the
dowsing intervention.

Conclusion
The harmful effects on human mental and physical health of strong yin and yang
earth energies has been well documented over the centuries. That this
phenomenon is not recognized by modern Western medicine has led to premature
death, unnecessary suffering and waste of expensive resources.

In the words of K. Bachler “much energy could be preserved, much suffering

alleviated, much emotional turmoil eased, and many people could lead a useful
and happy life, if those damaging influences could be removed from their lives.”

The technology now exists to detect Geopathic Stress in humans with blood
crystalline analysis or the I-health Thermography scan for those who do not want
to rely on dowsing results. Through education, scanning and instruction in basic
dowsing we can greatly improve quality of life for many people at very little cost
to the community. Appendix 1

Appendix 3
The i-HEALTH System for energy-screening and energy-therapy:

 uses 4 natural forces for meridian-diagnosis and energy-therapy: micro-current, rythmic
sequences of colored light, pulsating electro-magnetic frequencies and mechanical
impulses;
 visualizes the vegetative regulation capacity by means of reproducible meridian-
diagnostics, thereby making clear where the problem is located and what the nature of
the problem is;
 determines the most effective therapy-signals by means of rapid response thermography
from the digital library with therapeutic signals ( raymedies);
 covers the complete range of problems that may occur in the vegetative regulation (
toxic and micro-biological stresses, ptd, exhaustion syndromes, psycho-somatic stress,
PTSD);
 does all this without side-effects, painless and safe.
With the i-HEALTH system for energy medicine the self-healing capacities are being
restored and optimized with the aid of energy. For that purpose the i-HEALTH system
has a digital library of raymedies with colour-sequences, pulsating magnetic fields and
modulated galvanic current. Each raymedy has specific effects.
The 'i' in i-HEALTH stands for interaction, an individualized and integral approach of
each patient and for innovation. Our systems are used in more than 20 countries by
MD's, naturopaths, dentists, psychotherapists, coaches, trainers and private persons.
Because our system is innovative we need to explain it. Therefore this site contains

“As we get better at understanding how little we know about the body, we begin to
realize that the next big frontier is energy medicine." said Dr. Oz in the Oprah Winfrey
show ( Febr.2007) and he continued "It’s not the mechanistic part of the joints moving,
it’s not the chemistry of our body, it’s understanding, for the first time, how energy

29Earth Energies and Effects on Human Health

IHH 12-01

influences how we feel… because we are ALL energy. Alternative medicine is the
globalization of medicine. Believe it!!!!” He was in the good company of Werner
Heisenberg, Nobel Laureate, who stated 'Magnetic energy is that elemental energy
upon which all of life in an organism depends"

Meridian Diagnosis: the ‘Health Manager’
Easy, reliable and quick determination of the condition of the meridian-network and its
capacity to regulate and coordinate all the vegetative functions. The measurements
are easy to learn, objective and independent of the person that is taking the
measurements. Therefore the measurements can be delegated, compared,
exchanged and stored. The interpretation of the measurements is aided by clear
graphs, criteria, norms and statistical functions. The extensive help-function supports
the interpretation and the determination of effective treatment-points and approaches.
The nature and the way in which emotional stress influences the patients' health are
visible in the meridian-network. The wealth of knowledge of traditional chinese
medicine and its many metaphors is accessible through these measurements. High
quality TCM diagnosis does not need years of intensive training any more. In five
minutes those meridians are visualized in which the problems occur ( and were not)
and suggestions are generated where treatment is needed, for example by showing
combinations of treatment points. The effects of any type of treatment can be
established with these measurements like acupuncture, homeopathy, orthomolecular,
medication, psychotherapy, etc.
Meridian diagnosis is in many ways similar to the task-manager in Windows. Just as
when one presses Ctr-Alt-Del simultaneously and the task manager shows up telling
us which subroutine got stuck, with meridian-diagnosis one sees with which of the
processes the patients body has difficulties or cannot cope. Therefore we also talk
about the ‘health-manager’.
Raymedies
Raymedies are electro-magnetic and light signals for the correction and replenishment
of the energy-flow of the meridians, to detox, to treat scars, to activate specific
functions, to treat conditions and complaints. The signals are based upon years of
research and each signal is a complex electromagnetic frequency pattern or a
sequence of colours. They do not contain white noise. The raymedies have an energy
component and a programming component with which an energy shortage can be
replenished or a chaotic regulation can be corrected. i-HEALTH has developed a
digital library (or digital pharmacy) in which signals are stored, each of which has

missing 3 pages of Raymedy information

Hartmann lines – Dr. Ernst Hartmann founded the first Society for Geobiological
Research, measured earth gridlines with N-S and E-W orientation
healing crisis – re-experiencing flu-like symptoms after an energy therapy session,
may last a few days or a few weeks as the body eliminates pathogens and toxins.
holistic – treating the complete person, mind body and spirit
Ion – an electrically charged atom
kinesiology -muscle testing
ley line – term coined in 1921 by archeologist Alfred Watkins to signify alleged
alignment of significant spiritual monuments (wikipedia)
living matrix – our body is simultaneously a mechanical, vibrational or oscillatory,
energetic, electronic, and informational network (Pienta & Coffey 1991, Oschman
1994)
Thus every cell receives information on the activities taking place in every other part of
the body p. 49 Enegy Medicine
meridians – energetic pathways of the body as defined in Chinese Medicine
mind – the part of the human being that thinks and wills, both consciously and
unconsciously
noetic – relating to the mind
noosphere – the sphere of human thought
piezoelectric – crystals that produce electric fields when compressed or stretched,
our cells are liquid crystals and are piezoelectric
phi proportion – the Golden ratio
prana – sanskrit for life force
psyche -the human soul, spirit or mind
qi or chi – vital energy that sustains all living things
resonance – tendency of a system to oscillate at a greater amplitude at some
frequencies and not others. At resonant frequencies a system is able to store and
easily transfer energy between two or more different storage modes (wikipedia)
Schumann resonance – the earth’s geoelectric micropulsation of 7.8-8.0 cycles/sec
“All healers registered brain wave activity averaging about 7.8 cycles/second while
they were in their ‘healing’state” p. 107 Oschman Energy Medicine
semiconductor – virtually all of the molecules of the living matrix are semiconductors,
able to switch conduction of electrons on and off

shaman – in tribal cultures the person who can communicate with supernatural and
divine forces to cure illnesses or foresee the future
solid state electronics – In a solid-state component, the current is confined to solid
elements and compounds engineered specifically to switch and amplify it. Current flow
can be understood in two forms: as negatively-charged electrons, and as positively-
charged electron deficiencies called electron holes or just "holes". In some
semiconductors, the current consists mostly of electrons; in other semiconductors, it
consists mostly of "holes". Both the electron and the hole are called charge carriers
(from wikipedia)
spirit – vital principle in humans animating the body, mediating between body and
soul
subtle energy – see chi or qi
Tao – in Eastern philosophy, that in which all things happen or exist
telluric – means coming from the earth
tensegrity – term coined by Buckminster Fuller to describe structural systems that are
comprised of continuous tensional network (tendons) supported by a discontinuous set
of compressive elements (struts) p 63 Energy Medicine These systems more readily
absorb shocks and change them to information rather than damage p.64
transformer – the chakras behave like transformers, taking in higher frequencies and
stepping down the frequency to communicate with lower frequencies on physical plane
